Life and Family

Family is the cradle of society. Families are much more than groups of individuals.  It is more than groups of individuals that shared a bloods ties. Family have their aspirations, hopes, and goals to archive in life. Families are, or should be, a source of emotional support and comfort, warmth and nurturing, protection and security. Relatives establish strong relationship between all. These relation is a vital valued for our society. Family help to all members to develop  social support within sense of reciprocity—a giving and taking of love and empathy by every family member.
Although every family has conflicts, all the family members should feel as though they can express themselves openly, share their feelings, and have their opinions listened to with understanding. In fact, conflicts and disagreements are a normal part of family life and are important insofar as they permit people to communicate their differences and ventilate their feelings.
Family can help to learn how members can deal with  future conflicts. Family members with diseases, addictions, or others problem can have a better life and make the process easier for all.

Entry # 3 Wall E

“All of the biggest technological inventions created by man - the airplane, the automobile, and the computer - says little about his intelligence, but speaks volumes about his laziness.”

 Mark Kennedy

How many hours a day do you spent with your cell phone or your computer? Do you ever ask yourself why? Is your family happy with your attitude? Why do you prefer texting instead of calling? Most people are worried about new technologies and there development in the near future. Humanity is progressing into a technological dependent way of life. Humankind is gaining technological knowledge, but is our society ready for that kind of future? Wall E, showed us the consequences of misusing technology.  In Wall E that was unquestionably the producers’ message to us. After watching the movie, we start realizing how technology is affecting our personally. We become fatter, lazier, and we have found an easy way out of taking responsibility for trashing our planet Earth.

Nowadays, many people are enjoying all the technological advances of today, but at the same time we are losing the most important thing, human interaction, we are not talking any more, we just care about the last post on Facebook or Twitter or any other website that connect us with many known or unknown people. So many times, we comment on friends’ pictures, but we do not spend a few minutes to call them, and ask how they are doing. We have been consumed by technology. We are losing opportunities to be with family and friends. Most people prefer to go to the gym instead  of work out in an open area.

In brief, we are facing all these kind of problems, but not all is lost; we all have the opportunity to change. Rather than texting “I love you,” say it. While you are out forget about any device, look into your partner’s eyes, and talk to them. Enjoy life, as you are alive. We are robots.  We are human and not technology we every create will be better than us.

Inventor:  A person, who makes an ingenious arrangement of wheels, levers and springs, and believes it civilization.”

Rastafarian

Way of Life

We all at least one time in life have heard a name of a worldwide icon of reggae music, Bob Marley. He was the pioneer for introducing and bringing Jamaican music to worldwide acclaim. He had given a major contribution to bring reggae to be the center of interest of all people in the world. Songs such as “One Love” or “No Woman No Cry” are well known. Bob Marley’s flamboyant style was also another aspect that attracted the attention of many people and fans around the world, but most people do not know the meaning of the Rastafarian hair’s style. The Rastafarian’s movement is a “Way of Life” which is based in African spiritual ideology. The name Rastafarian means head of hero in Amharic (an Ethiopian dialect). They adore at Jah (Jehovah), but they see Haile Selassie, Emperor of Ethiopia, (1930-1974) as their God. They believe in unity and love. They oppose violence, and love their freedom. They profess a wild way of life. Most of them are vegetarians. One of the six holy truths is:” The White person is inferior to the Black person.” When non-Rastafarian people analyzed all others five truths, they will notice a high level of racism in their ideologies.

Symbolisms
When humanity thinks in Rastafarian, the first thoughts that come to mind are dreadlocks. "…not all Rastas have locks, and not all locksmen are Rastas. It is just a common characteristic among Rastas, symbolizing deep devotion to their Holy God.” For Rastafarian dreadlocks is a symbol of insubordination, and freedom.
Another aspect concerning to Rastafarians is their connection with God (Jah). They believe that the best way to know ourselves is through their connection with Jah, the only way to get that connection is smoking Ganja, and the bible said so. "He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of Man..." (Psalm 104:14). The Lion is the most important symbol in the Rastafarian culture.

In brief, The Rastafarian’s movement is a way of black Caribbean people found to express their opposition an eras of abuse, slavery, segregation, apartheid, and isolation. It is a constant protest against the white man for having uprooted them from their freedom, and brought to a New World where they lost or their power and hope to live wild and free. Reggae music is a perfect way of expression of all their feelings.

Entry #2 Nanotechnology Science of the Future

What is Nanotechnology?

We all live in a technology driven world that is fast paced and waits for no one. Nowadays, we are surrounded by a high tech environment. One of these advances is Nanotechnology. Many of us maybe are familiar with it, but not everybody is in touch with it. Nanotechnology is the manipulation or self-assembly atoms, molecules, or molecular clusters into structures to create materials and devices with new or vastly different properties. It can reduce the size of the smallest structures to the Nano- scale.

An area of nanotechnology’s application that looks more interesting to me is agriculture. It is not unrelated to any of us, all global problems related to feeding; especially in Third World countries, where agriculture development is still very primitive. Overpopulation is another issue that greatly affects agricultural development worldwide. Nevertheless, nanotechnology in agriculture is a perfect way to solve all agricultural issue. U.S. government plans to increase the potential of biotechnology for our own benefit. New tools for the molecular treatment of diseases, rapid disease detection, enhancing the ability of plant, to get more nutrients. Furthermore, smart sensors and delivery systems with help destroy virus, and development of better pesticides. Our environment will be more protected because we will be able to use lowers doses of pesticides that affect us as now are affecting and the rest of the world. Computers, global satellites, remotes sensitive devices, and other technology advancements are indispensable in Nano-Agriculture.

Overall, nanotechnology is an ambitious plan, a new phenomenon ready to transform life and develop in the near future ready to transform many sectors our society. We all have to be ready for all those developments, and use it for the sake of a new and better world.

Hi there this me when I get an announcement about blog.
Any way I try to be focus in what I should do.  For me this is my first time that I do something like this, blog. When I signed for ENG 101 class, I was expecting a lot of writing,
research, and all kind of stuff that English class usually do, or better said, I envisage that English class do, but now on I see that this class is going to be really challenge to me. As usual, I struggled with all my grammar, and vocabulary development problems, but at the same time, I am happy to be at this level. In addition, I have another challenge job to do, a blog.
At this point, my ideas about witch topics I can talk about are out of my mind, but I know that those ideas will come soon. For now, I just started what I suppose do. Every day, people share personal information about themselves online, using social media, blogs, and even email messages. Now I will do the same with my blog. What is going to happen with my blog? We will see in near future. I hope that all us you enjoy what I trying to do.
